Erik Swenk is a lifelong Seminole County resident, husband, father, and dedicated public servant. Rooted in faith, family, and community, his life has been shaped by a commitment to integrity, leadership, and compassion.

Grounded in family and community

Erik’s family has called Central Florida home for generations — 77 years in College Park and 37 years in Heathrow as part of its founding community. Today, Erik lives with his wife and son in Wekiva Springs, where they continue that legacy of service and community connection.

Dedicated to service

Service has always been central to Erik’s life. From his early years as an altar server and Eagle Scout to mentoring youth and supporting community programs, he has devoted himself to helping others. Erik was named the 2025 Longwood MLK Jr. Good Citizenship Award recipient. He also serves as a recurring keynote speaker for ProjectRISE with The Sharing Center, encouraging personal growth and community responsibility.

Education and professional background

Path began at Rollins College (Crew Team, Phi Delta Theta). Seminole State College Law Enforcement Academy — top of class, Squad Leader, Director’s Commendation. J.D. from Barry School of Law; Student Bar Association Senator.

Office of Appeal Hearings: more than 1,600 appeals, no missed deadline or negative DCA review; supervisor leading hearing officers and training in legal writing, evidentiary hearings, case management. Volunteer service with 9th Circuit State Attorney’s Office. Private practice Swenk Coverage Law, LLC — creditors’ rights across Central Florida.
